Macks Mckinley was born into a close-knit Irish-Australian family. His parents, Margaret and Patrick Mckinley, raised him alongside his two younger siblings, Mary and Sean. Macks always maintained strong ties with his family, and Sunday dinners of potatoes, pasta and doughnuts for dessert were a non-negotiable tradition in the Mckinley household.

Education, Experience & Employment: What is your character’s level of education? Did they attend college, vocational school, or have any specialized training? What does your character do for a living? Are they employed or self-employed, and in what industry or profession? Macks left highschool early (at age 15) to join the police academy. He skipped college, diving headfirst into the world of law enforcement. His heyday was in the '80s, where he earned a reputation as a no-nonsense beat cop, then fast tracked to detective where he had a flair for solving tough cases. After 40 years on the force, he found himself needing to take a break from policing in Australia, travelling to San Andreas USA for long service leave, where he now likes sitting in parks and on the beach eating his favourite foods.

Personality: Describe your character’s personality traits, both positive and negative. What are their strengths and weaknesses?

Macks is a laid-back, easygoing bloke with an often inappropriate sense of humour. Despite his apparent laziness (lots of smoko breaks), when Macks was in the police service he was surprisingly perceptive and had a knack for seeing things others may have missed. He’s an old school cop, not afraid to give the criminals some of their own medicine. Macks has decided to take an extended break from policing whilst he surveys his options.

Hobbies and Interests: What does your character enjoy doing in their free time? Any specific hobbies, interests, or passions?

In his free time, Macks enjoys indulging in classic '70s cop shows, collecting vintage police memorabilia, and taking leisurely strolls through the city’s doughnut shops. He’s also a closet fan of disco music, a guilty pleasure he’ll deny vehemently if caught enjoying a Bee Gees song. Ha-Ha-Ha-Ha-Stayin-Aliiiiiiivvveeee………

Goals and Ambitions: What are your character’s long-term goals and ambitions in the city? What do they hope to achieve?

Macks’ long-term goal in San Andreas is simple – find a job he can do easily, coast to retirement and get that sweet sweet pension. He’s not aiming for promotions, or Lambos, Macks just wants to cash his paycheck, savour his doughnuts (Jam is his favourite), and cruise through the final chapter of his storied life.

Friends and Allies: Who are your character’s friends or allies in the city? Are there any specific groups or factions they are affiliated with?

Macks has built camaraderie with many in the city who appreciate his laid-back approach to life. He occasionally shares a laugh with the customers and owners at the local doughnut shop, where his regular visits have made him a beloved figure. On occasion, he swings back into action and catches petty thieves and crooks, handing them over to the local PD, earning him the status of a local hero in his neighbourhood. His decades of experience and friendly demeanour have also earned him respect among the Police officers in the San Andreas precinct, who often seek his advice and listen to his stories with admiration.

Enemies and Rivals: Does your character have any enemies or rivals, and what is the source of their conflicts?

Macks’ aversion to bureaucratic red tape when he was an officer of the law has put him at odds with some by-the-book officers who find his lazy attitude infuriating. However, Macks remains unfazed, content to let the paperwork nazis drown in red-tape while he enjoys his well-earned doughnut and coffee breaks.

Criminal Record: Has your character been involved in any criminal activities in the past? If so, what kind of activities have they been involved in?

While Macks may have bent a few rules (nothing illegal) in his pursuit of justice during his heyday in the 80s, his record is squeaky clean. He may have a few skeletons in his closet, but they’re well-hidden behind the dusty trophies of solved cases and thank-you letters from all the people he has helped along the way.

Personal Beliefs: What are your character’s personal beliefs, values, and ethics? Are they religious or politically inclined?

Macks is more practical than ideological. He believes in doing what needs to be done, even if it means bending a rule or two. He’s not religious or particularly politically inclined, preferring to keep things simple and focus on getting through the day so he can put his feet up at night in front of the telly and watch some Hot Fuzz.

Relationships: Is your character in a romantic relationship or involved with anyone romantically? If so, who is their partner, and how did they meet?

Macks is currently single, having divorced his high school sweetheart many years ago. He’s more committed to his doughnut indulgence than pursuing romantic endeavours.

Standing at 5’10" with a round stomach that hints at years of doughnut devotion, Mack’s sports greying hair that was once a vibrant shade of auburn. His steel-blue eyes twinkle with a mischievous glint, and a few laugh lines etch his face, evidence of the countless inappropriate jokes and stories he’s shared over the years.

The ‘80s marked the height of Macks’ career, a time when his vibrant auburn hair and signature trench coat became iconic symbols of justice in the city. Macks became a living legend, solving high-profile murder cases with a swaggering walk, distinctive sideburns and moustache.

However, as the years rolled on, Macks found himself grappling with the changing dynamics of policing. Bureaucracy and paperwork started to overshadow the street-level action he thrived on. Seeking a fresh start and a break from the constant hustle, Macks packed his memories and moved to San Andreas. Now, close to retirement, he looks back on a career marked by thrilling chases, intense interrogations, and the satisfaction of putting criminals where they belong: behind bars.

Embracing the slower pace of San Andreas, Macks revels in the simple joys of life as he looks for a new job. He spends his free time regaling the doughnut shop attendants with tales of his’80s law enforcement exploits, relishing the nostalgia of his heyday. Macks, with his trademark mischievous grin, now close to retirement, takes leisurely strolls through the city’s streets, savouring every moment before he decides to hang up his badge for good. As he approaches retirement, Macks is a symbol of a bygone era, a living relic of a time when the streets were tough, the cases were tougher, and justice wasn’t held back by red-tape and bootlickers.

Current Situation: What is your character’s current situation within the city? Are they new to the city, or have they been there for a while?

Relatively new to San Andreas, having recently transferred from his longtime precinct. Adjusting to the city’s pace and quirks, he’s finding his place among a new generation of cops, all while trying to balance his love for doughnuts and nostalgia for the '80s.
