(Note: Any names not included within this biography unless later approved by the Federal Government will not legally be considered family members in a legal procedures, practices, etc.) (Min: 25 words per person)

  • A typical Australian bloke moved out of the Ipswich countryside into the big city. Live alone and parents have passed away unfortunately. As such Doug lives alone and has no plans to marry in the near future.

Education, Experience & Employment: What is your character’s level of education? Did they attend college, vocational school, or have any specialized training? What does your character do for a living? Are they employed or self-employed, and in what industry or profession? (Ensure you state all degrees, certifications, experience, current/previous employment information, etc.) (Min: 75 words)

  • Doug has attended TAFE and completed a business Diploma then transferred into a legal degree at UniversitySQ in Ipswich. Did not really want to work as a lawyer but wanted to understand the legal system to protect business and personal interests.

The legal degree comes in handy as it’s meant that Doug is more proficient as reading through contracts, more confident in renting a home or when buying items as he knows his rights.

Additionally Doug has some basic mechanical and electronic knowledge from his interests in these fields and home tinkering in order to save money and repair his own vehicle and build his own computers.

Personality: Describe your character’s personality traits, both positive and negative. What are their strengths and weaknesses?

  • Hard working introvert, good at behind the scenes hoarding of materials and resources and planning for the future. Fairly cautious and prepared for the worst situations. E.g. keeping himself safe and making sure he’s always got cash and a house. Being introverted means that weakness is keeping a good support and friends group can be challenging.

Hobbies and Interests: What does your character enjoy doing in their free time? Any specific hobbies, interests, or passions? (Min: 50 words)

  • Riding a bike, walks, movies and boating / fishing. In addition Doug likes to play computer games at home, watch movies and do other solitary activities. However fishing and boating are among his most favorite as he can spend hours out on the water and relax.

Additionally Doug sometimes likes to visit nearby islands and remote areas to set up camp to get back to his countryside roots. Occasionally Doug used to engage in offroad biking and motorbiking, however now he’s moved into the city this is something that he may do in the future.

Doug may consider taking up target shooting in the future as he used to own a shotgun in Ipswich previously. However he’s going to have to read up on the regulations as he’s moved to a new state and laws will vary from QLD.

Goals and Ambitions: What are your character’s long-term goals and ambitions in the city? What do they hope to achieve? (Min: 75 words)

  • Wants to amass a good level of money and resources to have a comfortable life and protect himself and be self sufficient and have the respect of others due to hard work and resources available to him.

Unfortunately Doug does not have any concrete ambitions and spends most of his time coasting through life. Apart from the rare occasions where he makes the decision to make a big move, such as studying law or moving states he is generally just taking things day by day and not working towards a specific goal.

Doug pretty much just wants to live a long life and has some some fears of dangerous situations. He will generally avoid but if he is put in a tight spot he would do anything to survive including violence or taking things too far on some occasions.

Friends and Allies: Who are your character’s friends or allies in the city? Are there any specific groups or factions they are affiliated with? (Min: 25 words per person/group if applicable)

  • Doug is not affiliated with anyone and has only recent moved over from Ipswich to experience the city. He’ll be looking to make contacts and push himself out of his comfort zone to meet his goals.

Typically he will try to seek out some close friends and keep his friendship group quite small, however as he is new in the city he’s not really made much of a social connection with anyone yet.

Enemies and Rivals: Does your character have any enemies or rivals, and what is the source of their conflicts? (Min: 50 words per person or group if applicable)

  • Again At this point Doug is a bit of a blank slate so there are no rivals or enemies in place. Potentially Doug will be rubbing some people up the wrong way but will try to keep a low profile.

Rivals will be people who get in the way of Doug’s ability to earn money and to roam freely and do the activities that he likes doing. If Doug’s money or freedom are restricted then this will potentially cause large issues and Doug may escalate (be it directly or indirectly) to whomever may be involved.

Criminal Record: Has your character been involved in any criminal activities in the past? If so, what kind of activities have they been involved in? (Min: 50 words if applicable)

  • As of yet, no. However if pushed Doug would consider using legal and illegal means to deal with threats depending on the situation. Again Doug is not an inherently violent person and generally likes to do things the right way.

That being said if Doug is presented with a low risk way to gain money or power it could be the case that he’ll assess that on the risk or reward basis and make a decision based on that.

Typically he’ll try to do things in-directly or take short opportunistic risks in order to keep under the radar and not risk being caught or having to negotiate with others for the turf or for help as this is one of Dougs weaknesses and does not want to deal with other’s issues.

Personal Beliefs: What are your character’s personal beliefs, values, morals and ethics? Are they religious or politically inclined? (Min: 50 words)

  • Atheist, fairly law abiding for the most part, but values and morals can go off the tracks in situations where threats to his life or to his livelihood go. If pushed far enough he would end up going breaking bad… or not if not put in an extreme situation.

Morals are flexible as far as good and bad go. As long as it can be justified. E.g. if someone is hurting Doug then they deserve to be hurt back. If someone is taking Doug’s money then a stake out of the persons involved and quick call to police at opportune times to report activities and have them taken out without getting involved, then swooping in and taking back what he can from the situation that is something that Doug would definitely consider for revenge or for personal gain.

Relationships: Is your character in a romantic relationship or involved with anyone romantically? If so, who is their partner, and how did they meet? (Min: 50 words if applicable)

  • No, Doug is not really interested in dating and happy being single. This fits with his introverted personality. Although that being said, he’s not introverted enough to not be able to operate in society.

Physical Description: Describe your character’s physical appearance, including height, weight, hair colour, eye colour, and distinctive features. (Min: 50 words)

  • 6 ft 3 , 100KG brown hair blue eyes, fairly pale. Doug tends to prefer a fairly neutral look being from the countryside he is a bit scruffy sometimes as there is not as much emphasis on being cleanly shaven and can dress fairly casual.

If Doug needs to go to court or go somewhere on a formal occasion he does have a couple of suits in the cupboard but would generally dress for the occasion with the emphasis on comfort. If he can avoid wearing the formal gear he’ll probably do so and is more comfortable in tshirt and flip flops rather than dressing up nicely.

Additionally Doug tries to avoid a lot of social gatherings so is not super fussed about looking good for other people and the occasion where he joins weddings or other events of that nature are very limited.

Backstory: Provide a detailed backstory of your character, including any significant life events, turning points, or experiences that have shaped who they are. (Min: 100 words)

  • Doug grew up in the countryside having a simple life. He spent time working in a department store and experienced some issues with his manager and promotions. This encouraged him to move into his legal degree to know his rights and ensure that he’s been treated fairly.

In his 30’s after his parents death, Doug decided to move into the city for more opportunities as Ipswich was limiting and not much change to amass wealth and experience life.

Doug’s childhood was fairly standard and he spent a lot of time camping and engaging in outdoor activities by himself. This means that he’s learned to be alone a lot of the time when not with family or with his limited friend group as a kid.

When Doug was a teenager the family obtained internet and a computer which Doug enjoyed using. Additionally Doug has had a dirt bike as a teenager and used to ride around in the forest and dirt tracks as well.

When Doug was about 18 he bought a really cheap Mitsubishi Sigma for $200 from some guy on craigslist however it did need some work and Doug replaced the carburettor with one from the wreckers.

After that Doug could more easily get to and from work and also used it to take trips to variou camping and fishing spots in QLD. It remained reliable however the fuel cost was one of Doug’s concerns as he did not make too much money at that point.

Current Situation: What is your character’s current situation within the state of San Andreas? Are they new to the state, or have they been there for a while? (Min: 50 words)

  • Been in San Andreas for 3 months and looking for a job living off savings. Will probably pick up something part time like trucking or fishing for a while as an interim job but may try to settle into something more structured in the future once more settled in the city.

Doug lives in a basic studio apartment and does not want to deal with having a garden or cleaning a large area. He likes living in the city however this is the first time he’s really done so and not sure how he’ll go with it.

It could be the case that he moves further out to Sandy Shores or Paleto to get back to nature. If so he may consider a caravan or a basic little shack and probably look into getting a boat for fishing and exploring purposes. It’ll have to be a cheap one unless he makes enough money however with trucking or other activities.

Pretty Solid application. But I would love to see you hit the word goal in the parts where you didn’t.

Example above^.

I’ve tried to expand it a fair bit. Did not check the exact word count but it’s been increased a lot.

Ok thank you, I would also appreciate if you would change your name to something more realistic, Fisher would be more appropriate than fish… So please think about that.

Fish is a fairly normal surname. Obviously less common than Smith or something, but commonly used.
